Camping
Camping Fees Please note that the following general fee information is not customized for each individual park, so not all fees will apply to all parks (for example, primitive campsite and dump station fees listed apply only to parks that have primitive campsites and dump stations). An additional $1 per night is added to the basic camping fees listed below at this high-use park. Basic camping fees are
Standard campsite, $15.
Utility campsite, $21.
Primitive campsite (accessible by motorized/non-motorized vehicles) and for water trail camping, $10
An additional $3 fee (standard) or $5 fee (utility) may be charged for select premium campsites at some parks.
Maximum eight people per campsite.
Second vehicle $10 per night is charged for a second vehicle unless it is towed by a recreational vehicle. Extra vehicles must be parked in designated campsite or extra vehicle parking spaces.
Dump stations (if available) Year-round dump station fees are $5 per use. If you are camping, this fee is included in your campsite fee.

check-out time is 1 p.m.Quiet hours are from 10 p.m. to 630 a.m. Length of stay you may stay up to ten consecutive days in any one park during the summer the stay limit is extended to 20 days between Oct. 1 and March 31. Campsite Information The park has 50 tent spaces, one dump station, four restrooms (one ADA) and two showers (both ADA). All standard sites are in McSorley gulch, next to the creek. Sites have no hook-ups. Maximum site length is 60 feet (may have limited availability). The park is in the flight path of Seatac Airport and, during certain hours, planes land or take off over the park every 15 minutes. All campsites are first-come, first-served.
Group Accommodations The group camp is on a bluff overlooking Puget Sound, with a view of Vashon Island and the Olympic Mountains. The camp has its own picnic shelter that accommodates up to 64 people with a restroom nearby. Fees vary with size of the group. For reservations or information, call the park at (253) 661-4956.
Picnicking
The park provides two kitchen shelters without electricity, plus 147 unsheltered picnic tables. Most picnic sites are - the beach or along McSorley Creek.

History of the Area
The park dedication in 1926 included a peace effort to stop the bad feelings between the cities of Tacoma and Seattle. The park is located halfway between the two cities and
a hatchet is symbolically buried under a rock somewhere in the park. Much of the park we see today was built by the Civilian Conservation Corp in the 1930s.

Located two miles south of Des Moines, Wash., - Sea-Tac International Airport.
From the south Take exit #147 off I-5. Follow signs west and
turn right on 16th St. past the Safeway store (sign missing). Then follow signs to park. Turn on Marine View Dr., which runs through the park. Turn left into the park.
From the north Take exit #149 off of I-5, go west, then turn south on Hwy. 99 (sign missing). Follow the signs into the park. Turn right on 240th at the Midway Drive-in. Turn left on Marine View Dr. and turn right into the park.
